About Us

Britta Buchholz

After a successful career in the corporate world and with two young children at home, Britta decided it was time to focus on something she was truly passionate about.

Growing up, her own mum had always created beautiful, elaborate decorations for her birthdays, and Britta wanted to recreate that same sense of magic for her own children. But while searching for decorations for her son’s first birthday, she found that so many options were either uninspiring, overly tacky or simply too expensive.

That was when the idea for Tara’s Wonderworld was born.

Britta quickly discovered a particular love for balloon garlands and sculptures — a fun and affordable way to create a real wow factor for any celebration.

With an initial budget of just £300, Britta launched Tara’s Wonderworld in 2018 and began selling on Etsy. The balloon garlands and sculptures quickly grew in popularity, and before long the business had outgrown the bedroom floor where those very first orders were prepared by hand.

Since then, Tara’s Wonderworld has grown into a small but mighty team, with Audrey, Zoya and Tracy now helping to bring each order to life from our workshop.

Today, we continue to create fun, stylish and memorable decorations designed to make every celebration feel that little bit more special.

Audrey

Audrey is our Queen of Balloons and the expert behind so many of the balloon garlands and sculptures leaving our workshop.

With more than 80 colours of latex balloons in our collection, Audrey knows them all inside out and can seemingly tell even the closest shades apart at a glance. Whether she’s creating a soft pastel garland or one of our statement balloon sculptures, she has an incredible eye for colour and detail.

Zoya

Zoya is the creative hands behind all of our personalised orders. She carefully creates each individual personalisation just for you, adding those special finishing touches that make every celebration unique.

Tracy

Tracy has truly perfected the art of packing. If you’ve ever received a parcel from Tara’s Wonderworld, you’ll know that opening one is all part of the experience.

From carefully preparing every order to withstand even the roughest journey through the post, to wrapping it beautifully in our signature pastel pink tissue paper and adding those little finishing touches, Tracy makes sure every parcel leaves us looking special.

Quite simply, every order is packed with care — and a lot of love.
